Eric Chaney
Eric is a big-hearted numbers geek. Always eager to learn more and find ways to share that knowledge, his professional satisfaction comes from helping people reduce anxiety about money and find their way to financial peace.
As a financial advisor and planner with more than 20 years of experience, Eric has navigated through some of the most tumultuous market years in modern history. Along the way, he’s worked with clients ranging in age from 1 to 93. He’s had the pleasure of seeing clients' babies grow up, graduate from college, and have babies of their own. He’s also ushered many clients to a successful retirement and enjoyed their retirement parties. Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Boise State University. He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63, and 65 securities registrations and a Washington state life, disability, and long-term care license. Before starting his own firm, he served as the regional manager and compliance officer for a national broker/dealer.
Eric is an avid hiker and though he often huffs and puffs his way up a mountain, that doesn’t deter him from his dream of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. He loves spending time with his wife, Heather, and their two amazing children. His oldest is autistic, which launched Eric on the journey of learning how to navigate the challenges of planning for two lifetimes—his own and his child’s. This lit the fire for Eric to help other families with special needs family members. Eric is honored to be a significant, long-term resource for these families and works diligently to help them know that they aren’t alone and that it’s going to be okay.
In the way back machine: Eric once slept through the eruption of Mount Stromboli in Italy. That level of calm, cool, collectedness is just one of the reasons people appreciate having Eric as their financial advisor.
Reach out to Eric and he’ll share practical tips on how to achieve and maintain your vision of financial independence—in a way that feels doable.
Krista Morgenthaler
Krista is all-around awesome. (We’re not biased, we swear.) Krista is a kind and genuine human and a skilled listener and problem-solver who knows how to support people in ways that matter to them. She loves connecting with clients, making her the perfect person to keep the Spectrum boat afloat. Full disclosure: she likes real boats, too.
Before joining Spectrum, Krista served as the office coordinator for an optometry practice. She joined the Spectrum team in 2015 and in 2018 became the director of client services because Eric is wise enough to know a great human when he connects with one. Krista holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations and a Washington state life, disability, and long-term care license. She also supports clients, keeps the office organized, and handles applications, paperwork, money transfers, and more. If you have a question, Krista is your go-to. In fact, she’s something of a wizard who either knows the answers to your questions or can find them for you.
Born and raised in Anacortes, Krista has no desire to live anywhere else. Being on the water is her happy place—and she’s all about fishing for whatever is in season. If you’re into photos, ask to see her latest catch or the magical orcas hanging out near the stern of her boat. Krista isn’t the only one in her family that loves the water. Her husband, Andy, and their two daughters enjoy water skis, kneeboards, and anything else that floats. Weeknights are spent supporting her daughters' high school sports teams, and during spring, Krista helps coach sprints and hurdles for the Anacortes High School track team alongside her former track coach.
In the way back machine: Krista is still the record holder for the 100M hurdles at her high school.
Give Krista a shout … she’ll make sure your Spectrum experience is positive and supported.
